I have a BS in Sociology & Criminal Justice from Texas A&M Corpus Christi and a Master’s in Social Work from Texas State University. I am a licensed social worker and have been working with Children’s Advocacy Centers since 2005. I enjoy helping our kids and family in their time of need.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Pittsburgh in April, 2015. I have been working with children, youth, and families throughout my career with an emphasis on supporting those who have experienced trauma. My goal is to help my clients and families achieve safety so they may work through the things that happened to them and come out of therapy stronger and more resilient. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I have a BA degree in Psychology and Child and Family Development from Texas State University and a Master of Social Work degree from Our Lady of the Lake University. I have experience providing and guiding direct services to children and families in various systems and  settings. My goal is to empower children and families to initiate the healing process and extend supportive resources.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Criminal Justice degree from Texas Lutheran University. I completed an internship at the GCCAC during my last semester, and I have been working at the center ever since. My goal is to help and support children and families during their times of need.

I obtained my BS in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos. I have several years of experience in working with children and families who have been impacted by many different forms of trauma through my role as a Family Advocate. I am so happy to be able to support and guide families and children of our community on their courageous journey of healing.

I received my BA in Sociology from Texas Lutheran University and completed a M.S. in Family Studies through an online program with Texas Woman’s University. I am a certified radKIDS instructor and trained in MBF Child/Teen Safety Matters and I’m excited to expand our child abuse prevention program. I am honored to support our children and families during such a difficult process.

I have been working within Children Advocacy Center’s since 2022. I strive to advocate for children and their protective caregivers throughout their time here at GCCAC.

I obtained my BS at Wright State University in Rehabilitation Services. I am currently working on my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. I have worked with children, adolescents and families for around five years providing mental health treatment for depression, anxiety, ADHD and ASD among many other emotional challenges. I have worked in many settings from providing ABA Therapy in homes, group therapy at an Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit, and skills training for foster care youth. My goal working for the GCCAC is to help support families and provide a safe space for them to grow and cope with life experiences.

I have worked with children, teens, and families since August 2016 in various roles. I am certified as a Registered Play Therapist. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space for clients to be able to find their voice.

I obtained a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Northwestern University with a specialization in child and adolescent psychotherapy. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults providing emotional support and mental health treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, and ASD, among other mental and emotional challenges. I love working with children and adolescents helping them understand, process, and learn to cope with their experiences. I offer counseling in English and Spanish.

I am a licensed professional counselor through the State of Texas. I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas State University. I completed my master’s graduate internship working with children, adolescents, and adults for a children’s advocacy center. In addition, I worked at a private practice for two years providing mental health counseling to children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with survivors of trauma, anxiety, depression and parenting support. I am a Registered Play Therapist and trained in using EMDR and positive discipline. My goal is to help the families I work with navigate this journey to healing.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker with a background in working with children and adolescents who have experienced complex trauma. I received a Master of Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston in May 2022. Prior to joining the GCCAC, I provided therapy services to youth at UTHealth Houston where I gained experience with trauma, depression, ADHD, and anxiety. Some of my therapy modalities include TF-CBT, EMDR, play therapy, and sand tray therapy. I believe healing requires an investment in the mental and emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents and I am excited to join the GCCAC in this important mission.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker and received my Master’s degree in Social Work from Baylor University and my Bachelor of Arts degree from Albion College. Before becoming a social worker, I was a middle and high school English and Psychology teacher in the state of Michigan. I completed my master’s graduate internships as a medical case manager working with adult patients with complex and chronic medical needs, and at a child advocacy center serving children and their families who have experienced trauma, abuse, and problematic sexual behaviors. My goal is to provide a warm space for my clients so they can feel peaceful, complete, and safe.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at my alma mater. During my academic journey, I had the opportunity to undertake an internship at the GCCAC within the Therapy Department. My aspiration in working for the GCCAC is to further assist families and create a secure environment where they can effectively navigate and develop resilience in response to life’s challenges.

For the past 5 years, I gained wonderful experience while providing direct care for youth in the Texas foster care system. I also acquired supervisory experience, administrative, and professional development. I received certifications in Motivational Interviewing, TBRI, and Trauma Informed Care, to name a few. There is nothing more I would rather be doing than to be promoting child advocacy!
