Texting and Social Media Reminders for Teens
- Don’t assume anything you send or post is going to remain private and nothing is truly anonymous
- There is no changing your mind in cyberspace—anything you send or post will never truly go away
- Don’t give in to the pressure to do something that makes you uncomfortable, even in cyberspace
- Consider the recipient’s reaction—what you’re sending may be unwanted or offensive
- You are in control of yourself! You determine how much you expose and introduce to the world
